A Season Of Change?

Sitting on my chair and looking out of the windows from my very own office space this Thursday afternoon without having my lunch, I am reminded how much of life is about to change. Much like the seasons change every year, so do my lives. It is subtle sometimes, barely noticeable but always constant, always a part of me. Other times, the changes in my lives are like the changing of the leaves, a bit at a time but then a sudden, bright explosion of color.

Am I preparing enough for the fact that may and probably will change sometime in my life? Am I making the best of every opportunity that I have now to embrace life and to grow in my relationship with my families, friends and especially to God? Am I doing things now that I’ve always dreamed of doing, embracing the opportunity to do them without the responsibilities of a relationship hanging over?  Am I will ever again have this season in my life because things will change..again?. I may meet someone special, I may have a new career opportunity, I may build a new dream again..again and again…?

I viewed this as a challenge for me not to let this ‘season’ in my lives be wasted. Because I realized that I need to embrace every opportunity that God brings to me to live my life to the fullest. Take that trip that I always wanted to take, learn how to ‘live’ again, stick to the goals and diet routine that I’ve started last week, pursue that dream career and buying an asset that I planned for so long..hehehehhe .

What ever it may be, I remind myself calmly GO FOR IT! Become disciplined enough to have what it takes to make those dreams come true. Life is much too short to spend it waiting. I want  to be women after God’s heart that are not afraid to live life to the fullest and embrace the changes in my lives as they come.

So friends, how do you address change in your life? Do you embrace it and squeeze every moment out of it, learning from the changes and letting them make you a better person or do you hide from it, resenting the fact that life does change?  Emm..I should ask this question to myself either hehehehe…Have a blessed day…. !!!!

I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received

One Rainy Saturday; The Thoughts..

A rainy Saturday in KK. I slept in till one to two hours from my usual weekday hours, refusing to roll out from my bed until the effects from last night’s revelry subsided. A colleagues and I had gone straight from work to have fun at karaoke and celebrating one of our friend from KL (our ex colleague). As I wake up this morning, I feel something is missing. I keep thinking and trying to go deep within me to understand it…lol!!.  Well I’m tired keep ‘searching’ which myself not understand either hehehhe, I opened my windows and there a cold breeze and sprinkle of water washes over my face. Its raining…how beautiful !!.  I decide to jump out from my bed and take a cold shower…emm ini kerja gila sudah lah sejuk..mandi air sejuk lagi…hehehhe

Another one lonely weekend for me. Well, I do some of office stuff which needs to be submitted next week. I can’t tell what I feel right now.. Suddenly my phone ringing and one of my best buddy chat with me for almost an hour!!..telling me about her sadness and loneliness after losing someone which is very important to her. Leaving her and leaving this earth. I’m trying to be a good listener…and I know what the feel is being left without a words. Further, there are a lot of words left behind. Regret for the ‘untold words’ to be told to someone who need it most. The words of sorry, love, hopes and so on. The empty space in her heart leads to a loneliness in her life. And I think we need a God’s solution to the loneliness when we want to disconnect ourselves from the injustices and painful memories. By entrusted our past to God for a greater purposes. The awakening take place when we no longer see our stories as belonging to us.  Instead, begin to view the stories from the perspective of a God who entrusted us with a challenge as His stage to reveal His power and deliverance.  Allowed God to display His power through us. God bless you my friend!!.

And I realize one thing, why we keep wait for the right time to tell someone about what we feel, thought and dream of? As time goes by, the untold ‘words’ become nothing but leaving empty spaces in our life. God is hopes and loves..

Hear my cry, O God; attend into my prayer. from the end of the earth will I call unto Thee, when my heart overwhelmed, Lead me to the rock that is too high for me. For thou hast been a refuge for me, a tower of the strenght in the face of the enemy. I will dewll in Thy tent for ever, I will take refuge in the covert of Thy wings.

I'm Tired and Bored...

I don’t know what to do as I’m getting exhausted and tired…and I finally do this:-

The secret of good sermon is to have a good beginning and a good ending; and to have the two as close together as possible (George Burns)

My Interpretation:  Yang sa faham lah kan…jangan buat khotbah/homili panjang-panjang hehehhee..

A Sunday school teacher asked the children just before she dismissed them to go to church, “And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?” Annie replied, “Because people are sleeping”

My Interpretation: Tidur bukan dalam bentuk fizikal ja tau,itu minda pun sama juga..berkhayal hehe

A funeral service is being held in church for a woman who just passed away. At the end of the service, the pallbearers carrying the casket accidentally bump into a wall jarring the casket. They hear a faint moan. They open the casket and find that the woman is actually alive. She lives for 10 more years and the dies. A ceremony is again held at the same church and at the end pallbearers are again carrying the casket out. As they walking, the husband calls out “Watch out for the wall!”

My Interpretation: The husband tidak mau dia punya wife hidup balik..hehhehee…

Several children found a dead robin. Feeling that a proper burial should be performed, they secured a small box and some cotton batting, dug a hole in the back yard, and made ready to dispose of the deceased. The minister’s 5 year old son was chosen to say the prayer. And so with great dignity, he intoned, “Glory be to the Father..and unto the Son..and into the hole he goes.”

My Interpretation: Pandai lagi tu budak..itu lubang pun dia bless juga hehehhehe.

 And This Is For You:-

For a couple years I've been blaming it on lack of sleep, not enough sunshine, too much pressure from my job, earwax build-up, poor blood, or anything else I could think of. But now I found out the real reason: I'm tired because I'm overworked. Here's why:

The population of this country (not Malaysia arr..hehehhe) is 273 million.

140 million are retired.

That leaves 133 million to do the work.

There are 85 million in school, which leaves 48 million to do the work.

Of this there are 29 million employed by the federal government, leaving 19 million to do the work.

2.8 million are in the armed forces preoccupied with killing Saddam Hussein. Which leaves 16.2 million to do the work.

Take from that total the 14,800,000 people who

work for state and city governments, and that leaves 1.4 million to do the work.

At any given time there are 188,000 people in hospitals, leaving 1,212,000 to do the work.

Now, there are 1,211,998 people in prisons.

That leaves just two people to do the work. You and me. And there you are sitting, at your computer, reading my blog hehehhehehe.......

Have a Blessed Day!!!!!

Can I Borrow $25?

I got this story from my friends...lets us reflect to ourself...

A man came home from work late, tired and irritated, to find his 5-year old son waiting for him at the door.

SON: 'Daddy, may I ask you a question?'

DAD: 'Yeah sure, what it is?' replied the man.

SON: 'Daddy, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'That's none of your business. Why do you ask such a thing?' the man said angrily.

SON: 'I just want to know. Please tell me, how much do you make an hour?'

DAD: 'If you must know, I make $50 an hour.'

SON: 'Oh,'

the little boy replied, with his head down.

SON: 'Daddy, may I please borrow $25?'

The father was furious, 'If the only reason you asked that is so you can borrow some money to buy a silly toy or some other nonsense, then you march yourself straight to your room and go to bed. Think about why you are being so selfish. I don't work hard everyday for such childish frivolities.'

The little boy quietly went to his room and shut the door.

The man sat down and started to get even angrier about the little boy's questions. How dare he ask such questions only to get some money?

After about an hour or so, the man had calmed down , and started to think:

Maybe there was something he really needed to buy with that $25.00 and he really didn't ask for money very often The man went to the door of the little boy's room and opened the door.

'Are you asleep, son?' He asked.

'No daddy, I'm awake,N' replied the boy.

'I've been thinking, maybe I was too hard on you earlier' said the man. 'It's been a long day and I took out my aggravation on you. Here's the $25 you asked for.'

The little boy sat straight up, smiling. 'Oh, thank you daddy!' he yelled. Then, reaching under his pillow he pulled out some crumpled up bills.

The man saw that the boy already had money, started to get angry again.

The little boy slowly counted out his money, and then looked up at his father.

'Why do you want more money if you already have some?' the father grumbled.

'Because I didn't have enough, but now I do,' the little boy replied.

'Daddy, I have $50 now. Can I buy an hour of your time? Please come home early tomorrow. I would like to have dinner with you.'

The father was crushed. He put his arms around his little son, and he begged for his forgiveness.

It's just a short reminder to all of you working so hard in life. We should not let time slip through our fingers without having spent some time with those who really matter to us, those close to our hearts. Do remember to share that $50 worth of your time with someone you love.

If we die tomorrow, the company that we are working for could easily replace us in a matter of hours. But the family & friends we leave behind will feel the loss for the rest of their lives.

Well, this story touch me deeply. I took for granted for what I have now without telling them that I really love them nor showing an action...

To Recover From Broken Relationship

Have you ever encountered the broken relationship in your life? What did you do to recover from that hurts and pains? Being betrayed, cheated, ignored and lots more. I do not know how you all recovered from it but to me it was very hard. Seems like I will never want to involves in love with anybody not just in terms of having a new partner but also in building a new relationship. I choose to be in a position of never get in hurts. Hope you know what I mean… hehehe…

To me relationship is a fragile treasure. They can fail for a variety of seasons. Sometimes misunderstanding tear relationship apart. Sometimes unresolved conflicts explode between people. Sometimes feared learned in earlier relationship undermine new investment in intimacy. Sometimes a person harms a relationship by cheating or deceit. For these and many other reasons, friendship, marriages, family relationship or even so called boyfriend-girlfriend relationship break apart.

When a significant relationship fails, a part of us dies with it. When our relationship break, our hearts breaks too. We grieve and search for a ways to understand what happened. We want to know what went wrong. And we long to find healing for our broken hearts. I grieved for many years and trying hard to understands what I’m doing wrong and what other things that I forgot to contribute in the past relationship. And is not easy to trust or to risk intimacy again after what I have experienced the pain of a relationship that has failed. And I’m tempted to give up on all relationship. Fear that I will again inflict harm or that I will be harmed. And I’m assuming by the illusion that safety can be found in isolation. But the truth of all this is we were created to be in relationship and need other people. Intimate relationship with friends or with family or life partner can enrich our lives.

I have experienced the trauma of broken relationship. And at one point I want to find healing that corresponds to the depth of the wound. I want to be healed so that I can again take the risk to love. I searched a lot of quotes, sharing from experts but still the hurts there. Rooted deeply and strong. I keep praying to God to heal and deliver me from the past. Take away my feared and my over self-protected until one day I heard a tiny voice deep within me saying ‘ I forgive you. Go in peace and be loved again’. I forgot to forgive myself !! No wonder how hard I forgive the wrong things in my past the pains is still there!!! I really forget to forgive myself!!

So friends, forgive and forget the past but live and love in present.

“ Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I
will do a new things. Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will
even make a road in the wilderness and rivers in the dessert”
(Isaiah 43: 18-19)

Still I feared to be hurts again but know I have to take a risk in order to ‘live’ again. Keep understanding, fighting, forgiving, praying and surrendered…

Berjalan Bersama

Lepas pelayan tu ambil order barulah saya tenang. Tapi mau dekat setengah jam..pesanan tidak sampai-sampai lagi. Saya tengok kedai makan ni bukannya ramai orang. Paling-paling pun 5 orang termasuk saya. At last saya panggil lagi pelayan tu dan tanya mana pesanan saya.

Hehehehhe….

Jesus Loves Me

When I'm woke up this morning, suddenly I remembered and start sings this kiddies songs. I dont know why I'm acting like that. Maybe this is God mesaage for me today..and I'm still figuring it out. Believe it or not till this hour I still sing this

Hujung Minggu Di RPK

So..enjoy yourself ya..hehehhehe..

Papan tanda menunjukkan jalan ke RPK melalui bulatan (roundabout) Pekan Tambunan

How To Keep Stress

Long term stress can lead to mental health problems such as anxiety, depression, eating disorder and substance abuse. Certain illness such as migraines (I always kena this one..adei), ulcers, heartburn, high blood pressure, pms, infertility, obesity and skin problems are also stress related.

There are many kind of stress and affect us in many ways. To most of us however, stress wreaks havoc on our emotional and physical health, narrowing our ability to think clearly and etc. We can’t avoid the onset of stress as it s part and parcel of our daily lives, but we can manage it by applying a positive attitude towards our thought and emotions. The goal is to lead a balance life, with time for work, relationship, relaxation and fun. Here’s what we can do to keep stress under control:

1. Learn to relax

Relaxation techniques like yoga or massage help to lower blood pressure and pulse rate, release muscle tension and ease emotional strains. I used to meditate to relax my mind and sometimes went for massage with friends. Hehehehe..good ooww..

2. Take time off

Ideally, we should go on vacation or take long weekends off. Even spending an  hour or two away from busy schedule can work wonders or spend time with your loved ones..eemmm..hard to say so

3. Get enough sleep

Sleep fuels our mind and body, keeping us well rested both mentally and  physically. I can sleep 10 hours a day if I too tired and after that take a cold shower and eat hehhehe

 4. Listen to music

Classical, instrumental or gentle music help to reduce feelings of anxiety, heart rate and blood pressure. I used to listen to P&W songs.

5. Express feelings

Sharing how we feel by talking to someone can help ease our troubles away. We can also try writing a journal, a poem or letter. Like me, I used to writes a journal everyday by expressing my emotions as I’m not really good in talking to someone else..hehehhe

6. Sense of humor

Laughter is an effective mechanism that helps to release the tension of pent-up feelings and helps  reduce stress hormone levels. Sometimes I no need to making humor but just look at the Mr. Bean sitcom hahahhaha…

7. Maintain healthy lifestyle

Exercise regularly, avoid excessive alcohol, caffeine and tobacco. Adopt a diet rich in a variety of whole grains, vegetable and fruits.

Well, when I looked into this tips I realize there’s few things that I forgot to apply in my daily lives especially in food intake. I should try these useful tools since I’m getting stress and stress everyday…

Study While Workings

I found this from 'Chapman study skills'. Might be useful for those who are sitting for the coming exam like me..hehhee..till now pun belum start lagi. How la this..

1. Find a place to study and keep it for study only.
2. Gather together all materials needed for studying
3. Control noise level and the visual environment to acceptable levels.
4. Avoid relaxing while working, create a work atmosphere. When you take a break, leave your
study place, then come back to work.

1. Determine your "up" times. You may be a "morning person" or an "evening  person." an afternoon person time.
2. Study when there are the fewest competing activities in progress.
3. Study is most effective when adequate rest periods are provided.
4. Stop studying when fatigue or lack of attention occurs.

1. When distractions are present, "tune them out," become intensely focused on your project.
2. Keep a pad of paper handy and jot down extraneous thoughts that cross your mind while
studying, get them out of your mind and onto paper.
3. Set study goals before you begin each period of study (number of pages, number of problems
     and etc)
4. Give yourself adequate rewards after specific goals are attained.
5. Break up the monotony of study by changing the order of the subjects you study.
6. Make the most of rest period do something quite different.
7. Don’t try to mix work and play.
8. Start with short study periods and slowly build to longer periods only as fast as you maintain
9. If necessary, make a calender of events to clear your mind of distractions.
10. Realize that you won’t lose friends, respect, or a "good time" just because of your studying.
11. Plan the length of your study period by the amount of material you decided to cover, not by
the clock  (Often the clock can be a serious distraction.)

In 2 Months Time

Stress is all around....stress of work, stress of studies, stress of other activities..dont know which one to take care first. Exam is coming in 2 months time..and I should start doing revision. But look what I'm doing..hehehhe..still standing. to get the courage to study? whenever I tried opened my mind will swing around hehehe..and end up doing something else like office works...I guess I'm good in doing office stuff rather than study huh? to finished my task within the deadlines givens. Always busy with daily works, then now my office busy with ISO..audit systems, audit accounts, projects..huh..tired ooww. In 2 weeks time the auditors of ISO will coming down to audit the systems of performance and to interview each of the branch head departments. As a head in my department I must well verse on the QM and planning...wah pressure is in the air hahahhaa.
Hahahha..I also dont know why I mumbles a lot tonight..I guess I pressure. Hahahaha..better sleep and get some energy for tomorrow...

RM20 million

Everyday there are new lottery winners. And everyday, there are lottery winners who file for bankruptcy. How can people be so financially careless, especially after they win so much money? Is it that initial exhilaration that leads them to believe they are invincible? What if you won the lottery, let’s say RM20 million. What would you do? Now, as you see in the newspaper, there is jackpot to be win with a sum of RM20 million. What a lot of money..wish If I can win it. But, I never buy a tickets hahahhaha…nda pandai bah.

I’ve chit-chat with my friends talking about this 20million and for sure the first one we want to do is charity works..hahahhaa…but if it is real and the RM20million in your hand now..are you dare to do that? Read this story from my friends talking about one family. This family just have a chit chat about RM20million. The wife want to have an investment but the husband not agreed. He said that kind of money is ‘panas’ and should go for vacations or spend it over. After 1/2 hours both of them jumped into arguments..hahhahahha. See what the RM20million can do for you..isn’t funny?

Winning such a large sum of money should not be be viewed as a free pass for life. It is a huge responsbility and one that needs to be taken very seriously. To me financial intelligence is an answered for this.

Tell me how you would spend RM20 million if you won it…hehehhee..dare to buy a helicopter maybe? a cruise? an island? Hahahhaha…

Sabah Local Culture (The World-2nd)

The Rainbow

According to local tradition in Sabah it is considered wrong to point at the rainbow. It was believed in the past that the finger that pointed at the rainbow would wither away. The rainbow was considerd to be a bridge that was used by the souls of those had died to cross over from this world to the next. The person who unwittingly pointed at the rainbow could neautrilize the bad omen. In the past some Murut groups feared the rainbow. They believed the unfriendly spirits were located at each end of the rainbow where it touched the earth. The various coloured were intended to frighten people. Some had the idea that rainbow was associated with snake or dragon. It was claimed that a man once went to cut the rainbow. When he slashed at it with his sword, no visible change occured but a sound like that made by a snake was heard. I remembered my late grandma always scolding us if we pointed to the rainbow. She said the ghost inside angry because they feel not being appreciated. late grandma have a lot of story to tells us whenever we 'balik kampung' but now..she gone..and I miss her a lot :-(
The Concept of God
After kinoingan created people and placed them on the earth he saw that they were hungry because they had no food. He went on along journey in search of seeds to plant. While he was away, his wife Suminundu sacrificed their daughter so that the different parts of her body could become the seeds for various crops for example the head for coconut, her flesh for rice, her fingers for ginger, her teeth for maize, her knees for yams, her hair for rambutans, her eyes for mata kucing and so on. It was tradition in Kadazandusun people to believe that the spirits of Ponompunan, known as Bambaazon, lived in the grain of the rice crop. In some versions of this legend the daughter of kinoingan and suminindu is known as Huminodun. Yaki Kaulung was name used by Muruts for the supernatural being they believed in. Prayers were not offered to Yaki Kaulung except in situation if the annual crops were not growing well or it fruits tree were not fruiting, a ceremony was held. A tiny amount of blood was taken from each member of the household by pricking a finger of each individual and the blood was collected in a bowl. Water was added and this was then sprinkled on the crops of fruit trees and Yaki Kaulung was beseeched to provide the goods yields.
The Thunder and Lightning
One theory held in parts of Sabah was thunder and lightning resulted from any case of child abuse. This could happen if a person died and left a child who was cared by another person. If the foster parent struck or scolded the foster child without reason, the the real parent would send down lightning and shout his approval from the sky. Some ideas is if the flash of lightning occurs during fine weather it is a sign that someone has died. The other parts in Sabah belived the caused of thunder and lightning are caused by people who laugh at animals. Some elderly people say that the thunder and lightning are brother and sister. They will become angry if humans being do actions that are very improper.
The Rain
It was belief of some rural people in Sabah that rain consisted of the tears of the spirit of person who had recently died and who felt very sad at having to leave the earth. And others felt that the rain that fell between the death of a person and the end of his funeral was water that would wash away the faults of that person while he was on earth.
The Clouds
Inb one part of Sabah the people say if clouds are moving towards the north, rain will soon come. If the clouds are moving towards the south a dry spell will follow. If there is mackerel sky, that is small clouds very high in the sky look like the scale of fish, some people say that at that period fish are laying their eggs. Spirits that bring illness are lurking about when clouds take on a reddish or orange colour. This type of cloud is known in Murut as bucilou. wonder my parents always shouts us to play inside the house if there is 'awan merah'...

Being In Love

Have you ever been in love? all feeling are inside isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person come from nowhere entered you stupid world and you decide to give them a piece of you. All the songs of heaven are with you and you are happy like never before but one day they ignoring you and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. These feeling are too hurts for you (and for me as well) and dont know what to do. People say, never regret in love as how you accept it. Let it be..let it be...and the sadness is is still...forgiving is the most...
I collect this love quotes for you and me to know what is being in love in different angles..
Love is everything it's cracked up to be.
That's why people are so cynical about it...It really is worth fighting for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don't risk everything, you risk even more.
Sometimes love is stronger than a man's convictions.
Love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness.
Maybe love is like luck. You have to go all the way to find it.
Love stretches your heart and makes you big inside.
Love has no awareness of merit or demerit; it has no scale... Love loves; this is its nature.
Love is like war: Easy to begin but hard to end.
Love consists in this, that two solitudes protect and touch and greet each other.
Where love is, no room is too small.
Loves makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place.
Love is the irresistible desire to be irresistibly desired.
Love is more than three words mumbled before bedtime. Love is sustained by action, a pattern of devotion in the things we do for each other every day.
To love is to receive a glimpse of heaven.
A love song is just a caress set to music.
Love is an act of endless forgiveness, a tender look which becomes a habit.
Love is like a violin. The music may stop now and then, but the strings remain forever.
Love doesn't make the world go round, love is what makes the ride worthwhile.
To love is to suffer. To avoid suffering one must not love. But then one suffers from not loving.
Therefore to love is to suffer, not to love is to suffer. To suffer is to suffer. To be happy is to love. To be happy then is to suffer. But suffering makes one unhappy. Therefore, to be unhappy one must love, or love to suffer, or suffer from too much happiness. I hope you're getting this down. me love is all the passion. Understanding for both side. Not just asking but giving too. Love does not need a reason..
